The images in the slideshow below have been selected into the 2010 APS Annual Juried Exhibition.
Congratulations to all those who's work was accepted and a very sincere thank you to all who entered! If your work was accepted, please follow the directions in the prospectus below to get your work to the exhibition.

Free parking will be available in the Parking Garage on 8th & Guadalupe during delivery, pick up and reception.
Take a ticket, the gates will be open at the exit.
Take the elevators down to the lower level to reach the Corridor of Art.
Notification
An email listing accepted entries will be sent to all registrants by Sunday, February 14, 2010. Also, a slide show of accepted entries will be posted here.

Removal of Artwork
Artwork selected must hung.
There will be no substitutions of paintings prior to or during the run of the show and no early removal of artwork.
Pick up and delivery is the responsibility of the artist or their agent. No work will be removed from the premises or stored by the Austin Pastel Society.
Sales
Sales will be between the artist and individuals wishing to purchase work. It is not required that work shown be for sale. Please place a 0 in the price field for work that is not for sale.
Agreement and Liability
Submission of a work of art to this exhibit shall constitute an agreement by all parties to all conditions of this prospectus.
Although the Austin Pastel Society will exercise due care in handling works, the Austin Pastel Society, its agents, 700 Lavaca or its agents will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any work of art.
Entry in this show give the Austin Pastel Society the right to photograph or use the submitted images for promotional purposes, including posting submitted, accepted or award winning entries on the APS website.
The Exhibition Chairperson or APS President have the discretion to reject any work that, in their estimation, does not meet the guidelines.
Artist Requirements
Eligibility
Open to all paid members of the Austin Pastel Society.

Entry Fee
$25 per artist for up to three (3) images.
Click on the Register button in the lower left of the box. Fill out the registration form. You can pay online or by manual payment.
A confirmation email will be sent to the email address used to register for the exhibition with a link to form to submit your entries. So, remember to check your inbox for the confirmation email!
Entry Requirements
Medium
Work must be 80% soft pastel. No oil pastel is allowed.
Originality
All work presented for juried exhibits or membership shall be original. No work shall be considered which is copied from another artist or published photograph (even copyright free). All paintings shall be original in conception and execution. This means no work that is a copy and no work executed under supervision. No published materials of any kind, unless it is the artist’s own published work.
Subject
Representational or traditional art works.
Figural nudes are not allowed.
The Austin Pastel Society reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for exhibition at the venue.
Eligibility
Work must have been completed within the last two years. Any work which has received Best, First, Second or Third in Show in a previous Annual Juried Member Exhibition is not eligible.
Size
Up to 40 inches in either direction.
Digital Image Specifications
Digital Entries Only
When you register for this exhibition a confirmation email will be sent to the email address that was used to register for the exhibition. At the bottom of that email is a link to the form to submit your entries. Click on the link to enter your images.
You may enter work in any category, Landscape/Interior, Portrait/Figure, Still Life/Floral or Wildlife/Animal with a limit of three (3) entries per artist. The Exhibition Committee reserves the right to reassign paintings to different categories based on the juror’s selection due to the varying number of entries per category. Prizes will be awarded accordingly.
To submit more than one entry, submit the first entry then click on your browser's "Back" button. You should then see the form with your information already entered. Change the image information for the next entry and then submit.
Make sure that the digital images of your artwork are high quality, look professional and accurately represent your work. Paintings received which do not match the digital image may be rejected.
Image size must be a maximum of 2000 pixels in either width or height with a maximum file size of 2Mb in the JPEG (.jpg) format. (If you would like help sizing your images, we will have a digital clinic at our October meeting.)
Name your file with the title of the image.
Framing
Artwork must be framed in a professional manner, ready to hang, wire supported by two sturdy hangers, no saw-toothed hangers.
All frames should be sturdy and suitable to the size and weight of the works.
Either Plexiglas or glass will be allowed.
