peoxzupw.PngChar Eppright Portrait Demo and Critique

Our very own Char Eppright, winner of the 2009 Annual Member Juried Exhibition, will be conducting a portrait critique session at our June meeting.

Char would like for members to BRING A PORTRAIT of their own, and she will critique for us.

This is a great opportunity to get some good objective criticism on finished or unfinished portraits we have in our studios.

Since 1980 Char has focused her attention primarily in oil and pastel portraits.  Following in the style of the Old Masters, she strives to penetrate to the soul and essence of her subjects.  Her work has been exhibited in shows and galleries around Texas and New Mexico winning numerous awards.  She has had the privilege of painting many prominent people, among those are the retiring district court judges for the Travis County Bar Association, the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Appeals.  She also enjoys painting the Native American Indian as well as children’s portraits.  Recently she has been enjoying landscape painting, especially in European countries.  She is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, Austin Pastel Society, which she co-founded in 1998 and Plein Air Austin.  www.ceppright.com
